As women, we can all agree that the most dreaded to-do we have on our list is our annual women's wellness appointment. It's daunting. So many of us don't go for reasons of fear, putting other's needs above our own, or we make excuses like we can't miss work, or maybe we assume we're healthy and think things like, it can't happen to me.
Today, a dear friend from high school, Jennie Blyth, shares her story. She was healthy, ate clean, worked out, and took care of herself, but believes pumping her body full of hormones and infertility drugs, lead to breast cancer. She recalls finding the lump during a self-exam, being told she's too young to have breast cancer by her doctor, and having to fight for further testing, which ultimately saved her life.
